Mercy

WHAT IS GOD'S MERCY?
Mercy is a compassionate feeling that flows through love. It is an act of showing love and compassion and withholding punishment when deserving of the punishment. Mercy doesn't always involve grand moments of gestures. It makes room for others. Mercy means not making it difficult for the person who offended you to apologise. Sometimes mercy means correcting someone gently and not trying to prove how wrong they are. That is a Mercy of grace. God is merciful; that is his nature, he is rich in mercy. It is shown in his actions to relieve us of the suffering of this present age and demonstrate his faithfulness. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us(Romans 8:18).  His mercy is ever available for us in this present age of sufferings and at last there's a greater glory, so why not persevere the sufferings and trust him to help you. In Titus 3:4-7, apostle Paul gives us one of the best description of God's mercy as revealed in Jesus Christ. He saved us not because of the righteous things we had done, but by his mercy. It is by his mercy we are not consumed. Galatians 2:21- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, it means Christ died for nothing. The bible endeavours us to be merciful just as our father is merciful. We should reciprocate this love and compassion God shows us to others.


A way to obtain God's mercy is through repentance and confession of sins. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:13, "He who conceals his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confesses them shall prosper. Confession involves acknowledging our wrongdoing and asking for forgiveness.
You can't live in this present age and time without God's mercy, everything will look too difficult, you need to be shown mercy. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. WE NEED MERCY!! and God's mercy is available for us, so let's activate this mercy from him.
HOW TO ASK FOR GOD'S MERCY
Go to him in prayer and be open to receive from him. Nobody will open your heart for you, you have to be intentional about what you want from God. He said we should ask and it shall be given unto us. David cried out for mercy. He couldn't have done all he did without mercy. We need God's mercy my dear brother and sister.
WHAT HINDERS GOD'S MERCY?
Sin and disobedience will hinder God's mercy and other blessings from God. He speaks peace only to those who turn away from unfaithfulness and backsliding. There is no peace for the wicked. No wicked person can go unpunished. So in everything we do let's strive to do his will and ask him for the grace to be merciful to others as he shows us mercy.
Short prayer
FATHER IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME, I PLEAD FOR YOUR MERCY TODAY. FATHER I THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE & KINDNESS, I BLESS YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE A COVENANT KEEPING GOD.

Faith

What is faith? Faith as according to the bible is "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)". Faith is putting our complete trust in God believing he will help us in whatever we have involved him.  Faith comes before a prayer is answered or before an individual has received what he or she has requested from God. If we have received what we asked for, then faith is not needed. So it comes by making your request known to God and trusting him to fulfil that request. An example of this definition is found in Matthew 9:27-30 where two blind men came to Jesus and asked Him to heal them. God is with you

This is relatable to the story of Job. Job 13 says: “Though he slay me, I will hope in him.”  No one and nothing can steal your joy or your peace when your hope is in God.  Never lose your hope in God!
