God's forgiveness

What is forgiveness? Forgiveness is an act of letting go of one's hurtful feelings towards someone who has wronged us. It is choosing to be free from anger, pain, resentment caused by the person who has wronged you.

Forgiveness they say makes you free mentally, emotionally, physically and makes you free from negative thoughts like worthlessness, deceit, guilt. You are the person being wrong but you are the one that feels all of this things and why is that? It is because when you hold up someone in your heart, it takes alot of space and the devil will keep using it against you. That is why the word of God admonishes us to guard our heart with all diligence because out of it flows the issue of life. Proverbs 4:23

When we don't guard our heart, we leave ourselves vulnerable to various negative thoughts which can come in and can affect the state of heart thereby polluting it.  You believe a lot of lies from the devil, like this person can never be forgiven, he/she has done too much to be forgiven. I tell you, you are not the first person to be wronged. 

We offend our heavenly father and he still forgives us. He said we should come bodly to the throne of Grace that we might obtain mercy. Hebrews 4:16 You may say he is God and Almighty and  that is why it's easy for him. But Jesus came down in human form and went through all of this trials and persecution you are going through. For we do not have a high priest that cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities. 

 Jesus Christ has gone through all of this things and when Peter asked how many times can we forgive a brother that hurt us he said SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN. There is no limit to forgiveness. So we should keep forgiving no matter what it is. God's grace is available for us as a children of God and joint heirs with Christ we are expected to forgive.

We all know it's not easy, it's never been easy even Jesus Christ almost wanted to give up on the Cross but for his love for us,  he still said to his father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing.

 The bible says love your enemies and do to people what you want to be done for your self. The story of the servant in Matthew 18 showed us how a master forgave his servant but when it was his turn he did otherwise. You are not all perfect, we all are working towards perfection, you also have wronged someone and he/she forgave you so why don't you let go?  But when it seems so difficult you don't have to fake it because you're only human and that's why there's a supernatural grace for you and his strength is made perfect in your weaknesses.

 An unforgiving heart is a weakness, it brings you down and affects you. Prayer, and confession is needed to be set free.  It's by his mercies we are not consumed, do you know how many times you have wronged God and by his infinite mercy he still forgave you? If you truly want to be christlike you have to intentionally ask for his grace, ask God to teach you how to forgive today, acknowledge you cannot forgive this person on your own, you need him to help you, to help your heart because everything we do and all our actions starts from our heart. 

It's a mindset and if truly you want to forgive the person ask God to help, pray for the person and ask Him to touch the person's heart to change him/ her . So we need a supernatural power and that's the holy ghost power to work through our hearts. 

God bless us today as we let go of that person, that pain, that deceit and manipulation from the devil(he/she doesn't deserve to be forgiven) and I pray the Holy Spirit teaches us more on this. Amen 🙏
